To view taxes for a particular state:

Select the state in the States column and select the State tab.
This displays the state tax information for the selected state in the upper right pane.
Tax ID
The system-generated unique tax identifier.
Name
The name of the state tax, for example, NY Telecommunication Excise Tax.
Category
The category of tax - No Taxes, Telecom, Cellular, Internet.
Rate
The tax percentage for the associated tax.
Amount
The flat rate for the associated tax.
Reporting Code
(Optional) This can be used to group tax dollars by the entry lines that appear on the actual sales tax form that gets filed.
Tax Resid.
If Yes, the tax applies to calls made by a residential service.
Tax Bus.
If Yes, the tax applies to calls by a business service.
Start Date
The date the state tax becomes applicable.
End Date
The date the state tax is no longer applicable.
Intra.
If Yes, the tax applies to intrastate calls.
Inter.
If Yes, the tax applies to interstate calls.
Intl.
If Yes, the tax applies to international calls.
Prod.
If yes, the tax applies to products as designated in the Product Catalog in Product Management.
Usg.
If yes, the tax applies to usage.
Prim.
If Yes, this is the primary tax for the selected state.
Taxable
If Yes, the amount of this tax is included in the base rate that is to be taxed.
If a tax is tiered, select that tax to view the tax tiers in the lower pane.
Order
The order number.
Max. Amt
The maximum dollar amount.
Rate
The decimal percentage.
Max Lines
The maximum number of lines that the tax applies to if it is a per-line tax.
The Edit State Tax form shows the details of usage and product-based taxes for your customer base. IDI maintains the tax database. You can edit only the End Date and the Rate of each tax. To view or edit a state or federal tax, double-click the state tax you want to edit. See Edit State Tax form.
