When you reconnect a service number that is not in inventory, the system checks to see if the service number is still associated with the same account and has an inventory status of Available, Aging, or Reserved. If this is true, the system reconnects the service number. When the reconnect is complete, the system changes the inventory status to Assigned.

Reconnecting a Ported In Service
When a ported-in service is disconnected, the service number is returned to the carrier that owns the number. When that service number is ported in again (reconnected), the system ensures the number is not associated with another account before completing the reconnect. If you are porting-in a wireless service, the system verifies the MIN is still available and reassigns that MIN.
If the ported-in service number and MIN (wireless service only) cannot be used, you must create a new order to assign a new service number and/or a new MIN.
Reconnecting a Ported Out Service
If a ported-out service number is reconnected, the system sets the service number's inventory status to Assigned. In order to reconnect a wireless service, its corresponding MIN's inventory status must be Available. When the reconnect is complete, the system changes the MIN's inventory status to Assigned.
If the MIN's inventory status is Not Available, you must create a new order to assign a new MIN.
