You can add Providers from a system-defined list of IDI-supported Providers as needed. All Providers available for use with the Provisioning web application are IDI versions of the commercially available provisioning interfaces (e.g. IDI’s supported implementation of Metaswitch 1.0 is not 100% equivalent to the actual Metaswitch version). Carriers should consult the IDI documentation for more on supported Providers.
When selecting from the list of available Providers, versioning is supported so different carriers can be on different versions of the same network element as may be required by their hardware and system setup.
To access, select MANAGE > Provider Settings. Then add one or more Providers as needed. When you add a Provider you specify the Installation Type (Metaswitch, Calix, etc…) and Version. ()
Once you’ve added a Provider, you can update the Version specification if and when you upgrade your hardware as needed by clicking the Edit (pencil) icon and then selecting a new version from the drop down menu. Updating the version is seamless and will not break the interface.
