Setup for multi-step pages
To consolidate multiple steps onto a single page you designate a parent folder as the page where the consolidated steps will be presented, and then arrange/configure the child folders accordingly.

Page Containing Multiple Steps – Parent Folder
The Combine Child Choose Folders into a single page check box determines whether or not child folders are consolidated as steps on a single page. Check this option on the Parent folder and place the child folders that comprise its steps directly (one tier) below in Product Catalog.
Notes:
If Combine Child Choose Folders into a single page is unchecked, the folder does not combine child folders into steps, but presents them as separate pages in the guided assignment flow.
This setting is only available when the Folder Type is Guided Assignment.
General Rules for Child Choose Folders
If a Child folder is not set up to be a choose folder, its contents are auto-assigned and the folder do not appear as a step.
Note
For a folder to be included on a multi-step page, you must ensure child folders are decision-independent, meaning selections made for one child folder presented as a step on a page do not impact the available selections for another child folder presented as a step on the same page.
Child Choose Folders with "This folder can be selected" Check Box Checked
When using the Combine Child Choose Folders into a single page option, child folders having This folder can be selected checked are combined into the first step position on the page. The choose rule for this step follows the parent folder choose rule. Instructions for this step are derived from the Parent folder’s instructions, and the Name/Title is derived from the Caption or Description.
Treatment of Child Products
The treatment of child products depends on whether the parent folder is set up as a Choose folder (Choose check box checked).
For the following assume child products are active, allowed for sale and available in the current location, and folders are not excluded via limit-to’s.
If the parent folder is a Choose folder child products are combined with any child folders marked as This folder can be selected into the first step position on the page.
If the parent folder is not a Choose folder child products are auto-assigned.

Child choose folders that are not marked as This folder can be selected may also be displayed as steps on the page. The system checks folder contents for active products, location availability, and applied limit-to logic. If these criteria effectively filter out all child items, the folder is not presented as a step. If one or more items can be displayed, a step is presented for the folder. The step order is based on the folder’s configured Step Order relative to other folders being presented as steps on this page. (Remember, if folders are marked as This folder can be selected and/or child products are not auto-assigned, they occupy the first step position.)
Instructions for these steps are derived from the respective folder’s instructions and the Name/Title of each step is derived from the folder Caption or Description.
Limitations
If a page contains more than one step whose selections drive the direction of the Guided Assignment flow, the subsequent next steps are not automatically combined on to a single page.
Example:
IF
A multi-step page contains one step for selecting a handset, and that selection contains a sub folder that drives a subsequent related accessories page.
AND
The multi-step page contains another step for selecting a plan, and that selection contains a sub folder that drives a subsequent related features page.
THEN
The accessories and features pages are not automatically combined on a single page.
