E911 providers supply the police, fire, and medical provider information required to support the emergency 9-1-1 service. The E911 Providers table lists all E911 providers currently defined in the system. It populates the E911 Provider drop-down list in the Add MSAG Provider and Edit MSAG Provider windows (see MSAG Providers). It is also used in the E911 Batch Search window and the E911 File Generation wizard.
To set up and maintain the E911 Provider table:
Under Data Management double-click E911 Providers. This displays the E911 Providers window.
The E911 Providers window provides the following information:
E911 Provider ID
System-generated identifier that uniquely identifies the E911 Provider.
Description
E911 Provider's name/description.
File Format
Format this E911 Provider requires when receiving information for the Automatic Location Information database.
