The following is an example of a Bulk Equipment Change.
A new cable is being installed into a community, and 10 customers will be cut over from their existing cable to the new one. You have decided that four routes should be worked together (group A) and the other six should be worked together (group B).
In the IDI platform, create a Bulk Equipment Change.
Within that bulk equipment change you can add Change Sheets to create the two groups.
Using the Route Equipment Change Wizard, you can search for all routes on a street, or search for all routes that are using a specific piece of equipment.
From the resulting list, you can select the routes to be in group A.
For each route selected, you designate the cable and pair to be replaced by tagging it as "remove." You then add the new cable and pair information.
Once all of the routes have the correct information, you can review the routes and confirm the changes.
The equipment status changes to Bulk Equipment Change.
The change sheet details for group A are added to the change sheet.
You then add another change sheet for group B.
Create orders to do the work on the routes.
Once the orders are submitted, the equipment status is changed to Assigned.
Once the orders have been completed and you have committed all the route changes, the Bulk Equipment Change is complete.
