Displaying Follow-Ups on the Summary Tab

Prev Next

Normally follow-ups only appear on the Journals tab. You can select certain follow-ups to also appear on the Summary tab. This is referred to as “retaining” a follow-up. To display a follow-up on the Customer Summary tab:

  1. Click the Journals tab in the Customer window.

  2. Right-click on the appropriate follow-up and select Display on Customer Summary Tab.

    Notes:

    • You can undo the setting from the Summary or Journals tab.

    • Selecting a follow-up that is referenced to an Order displays the View Journals for Order menu. This menu option is not displayed on customer follow-ups.

Removing Follow-ups from the Summary Tab

To remove a follow-up from the Summary tab in the Customer window, from either the Summary tab or the Journals tab:

  1. Right-click on the follow-up and select Remove From Customer Management Tab.

This removes the follow-up from the Summary tab in Customer Management. The follow-up can only be viewed from the Journals tab.

Check Box: Include Items beneath Follow-Ups and Troubles

A check box at the bottom of several tabs (on the Customer window) lets you view child items associated with Journals, Follow-Ups and Trouble Tickets.

include items checkbox - generic lower customer window

When the check box is selected on the Customer Summary tab:

  • All child/nested retained Journals, Follow-Ups and Trouble Tickets are displayed in the lower grid for the customer.

When the check box is selected on the Journals tab:

  • All child/nested Journals, Follow-Ups and Trouble Tickets are displayed in the grid.

When the check box is selected on the Troubles tab:

  • All child/nested Trouble Tickets are displayed in the grid.

By default the check box is cleared; it needs to be selected every time a customer window is displayed in order to work.

    Note

Selecting this box may cause a large amount of data to be returned and can affect system performance.
