For example:

  • Global and Application quicklinks have these parameters: User ID, Environment and Domain.

  • Object-specific links (Account, Service, Equipment, and Ticket) have those parameters plus other parameters related to the object. For example:

    • Account: Account Number, Account Type, etc...

    • Service: Service Billing Status, Service Catalog, etc...

    • Equipment: Equipment Type, Equipment Owner, etc...

    • Ticket: Assigned User, Category, etc...

      Note

Different web sites have different syntax rules that govern passing in parameters. You'll need to be aware of those rules when you use parameters.

Note

The URL on system-defined Quicklinks is locked and cannot be edited.

Icon

You may select an icon to accompany the Display Name for the Quicklink. Enter the icon name in the text field (e.g. fa-link). Use the Custom Icons link to display a list of available icons.

Behavior

This controls how the link is opened:

  • Open in Same Tab - Same browser window

  • Open in New Tab - new browser window (Default)

  • Embedded - embed the quicklink as an iFrame directly in the web module (Customer Care, Tickets, Inventory or Workflow) instead of sending a user to the external application or site. For more see Embedded Quicklinks.
