The Backdating Control tab allows configuration rules to be set up so the system knows when to close the previous month to all transactions.

The Backdating Control Configuration window contains the following fields:
Enable Backdating Control | Check this box to turn this feature on/off. All fields in this window are disabled when the checkbox is left unchecked/turned off. |
Status | Displays the state of the system to the customer. |
Previous Month Will Close To Backdating After | Enter the number of days that the previous month will be closed for all transactions going into the next month. The default is "0". |
Set Posted Date To The Current Date | If checked, the posted date of an automated transaction that attempts to backdate into a closed period will be reset to the current (today's) date. |
Set Posted Date To the First Of The Current Month | If checked, the posted date of an automated transaction that attempts to backdate into a closed period will be reset to the 1st of the current month. |
