The following rules apply:
A deposit cannot be allocated before it has been received (a Received Date entered).
The sum of the allocations cannot exceed the total amount of the deposit.
Disbursements to the customer account balance must be done manually as an adjustment.
To allocate a deposit:
Access the Deposits balance for the customer:
From the Customer window menu bar, select Status > Deposits.
Select the deposit then right-click and select Edit.
From the Add/Edit Deposit window, click Actions and select Allocate Deposit. This displays the Add Deposit Allocation window.

Select the type of allocation from the drop-down list.
Enter the amount to be allocated.
Enter an optional description if desired.
Click Save. This adds the allocation to the Deposit Allocation tab and reduces the Total Amount by the amount of the allocation.
