Return Policy (used for future valuation)

Use Days Since

Determines whether the number of days are counted from the Purchase of the service or the Activation of the service. Since there may be a delay between the purchase date and the date the service becomes live, you need to tell the system which date to choose when calculating the amount to be returned to the customer.

Override Register Policy Max Refund Days

The system can use the Max Refund Days configured in the Register Policy (see Locations), but if you select this option, you can dictate a different number of days.

Max Refund Days

If Override Register Policy Max Refund Days is selected, enter the maximum number of days from the purchase/activation within which the AdvancePay Product can be returned.

Value on Return

The Value on Return setting allows a calculated refund amount when an AdvancePay Product is returned.

  • No Refund: Customer does not receive any tender upon returning the AdvancePay Product.

  • Refund All: Entire purchase amount is tendered to the customer upon returning the AdvancePay Product.

  • Prorate Unused Units: Calculates the percentage of unused units (occurrences or cash) to determine the amount tendered to the customer.

  • Prorate Unused Minutes: Calculates the percentage of unused minutes to determine the amount tendered to the customer.

  • Lesser of Proration Options: Calculates both the prorated unused units and prorated unused minutes and returns the lower amount for tender to the customer.

  • Greater of Proration Options: Calculates both the prorated unused units and prorated unused minutes and returns the higher amount for tender to the customer.

Value on Swap

The Value on Swap setting allows a calculated refund amount when an AdvancePay Product is swapped.

  • No Refund: Customer does not receive any credit for the swap.

  • Refund All: Entire purchase amount is credited for the swap

  • Prorate Unused Units: Calculates the percentage of unused units (occurrences or cash) to determine the amount credited for the swap.

  • Prorate Unused Minutes: Calculates the percentage of unused minutes to determine the amount credited for the swap.

  • Lesser of Proration Options: Calculates both the prorated unused units and prorated unused minutes and returns the lower amount to the customer.

  • Greater of Proration Options: Calculates both the prorated unused units and prorated unused minutes and returns the higher amount to the customer.

    Note

For any of the prorated values, the customer's account may first be put into a "pending refund" state before the refund is made. This allows for additional call records to come in.
