The Add Additional Service Numbers Wizard guides you through the steps required to add new service numbers and service number blocks to your service number inventory. In order to add new service numbers, Application > CostGuard Client > Inventory Management > Service Number Inventory > Service Numbers > New must be enabled in your Permission Profile.
You can access this wizard from any of the following locations within the IDI Desktop Client:

To add new service numbers and service number blocks to your service number inventory:
Use one of the methods described above to display the Add Additional Service Numbers Wizard.

Select the inventories you want to add new service numbers to.
Note
You can select one or more inventories.
Click Next. This displays the Select Inventory Groups window.
The top portion of the Select Inventory Groups window lists all of the inventory groups that are defined in the system. The bottom portion of the window is empty.
Select the inventory group(s) you want to add new service numbers to.
Click Add. This puts the selected inventory group(s) in the Selected Groups list in the lower pane.

If you need to remove an inventory group, select the desired inventory group(s) in the Selected Groups list and click Remove. This puts the selected groups back in the All Groups list in the top pane.
When you are finished selecting groups, click Next to continue. This displays the Add Additional Service Numbers window.

The Add a single, non-blocked, alphanumeric service number radio button is selected and the Service Number field is enabled and empty if you requested the wizard from the:
Applications menu
Service Number Search Results window, by right-clicking on an empty row and selecting Add Additional Service Numbers
The Add 10-digit service numbers radio button is selected and the Service Number From and To fields are enabled and populated with the selected service number block's NPANXX / X if you requested the wizard from the:
Service Number Search Results window, by right-clicking on a populated row and selecting Add Additional Service Numbers.
Service Number Block Search Results window, by right-clicking on a populated row and selecting Add Additional Service Numbers.
Service Number Blocks window, by right-clicking on a populated row and selecting Add Additional Service Numbers.

The Add 10-digit service numbers radio button is selected and the Service Number From and To fields are enabled and empty if you requested the wizard from the:
Service Number Block Search Results window, by right-clicking on an empty row and selecting New.
Service Number Blocks window, by right-clicking on an empty row and selecting New.
Enter the Additional Service Numbers information as described below:
Add a single, non-blocked, alphanumeric service number
Adds only one service number to the selected inventories and it is not added to a service number block.
Note
If a service number block exists for the specified service number, you must add the service number to that block.
In this scenario, you must:
Select the Add 10-digit service numbers radio button.
Enter the desired service number in the Service Number From field.
Select the Add these service numbers to a block check box.
Service Number
Service number to be added to the selected inventories.
Note
This field is only enabled if you select the Add a single, non-blocked, alphanumeric service number radio button.
Add 10-digit service numbers
In the selected inventories, adds a single service number to an existing service number block, or adds range of service numbers service.
Note
If one or more service number blocks already exist for the specified range of service numbers, you must add the new service numbers to those blocks.
In this scenario, you must select the Add these service numbers to a block check box.
Service Number From
First service number in the range of service numbers being added.
If you are adding a range of service numbers to the selected inventories, enter the first service number in that range.
If you are adding a single service number to the selected inventories, enter that service number.
Note
This field is only enabled if you select the Add 10-digit service numbers radio button.
Service Number To
Last service number in the range of service numbers being added.
If you are adding a range of service numbers to the selected inventories, enter the last 4 digits of the last service number in that range.
If you are adding a single service number to the selected inventories, do not enter anything in this field.
Notes:
This field is only enabled if you select the Add 10-digit service numbers radio button.
The first 6 digits of this field are populated with the first 6 digits of the Service Number From field and cannot be changed.
Add these service numbers to a block
Checked: Service numbers within the specified range are added to a service number block.
Unchecked: Service numbers within the specified range are not added to a service number block.
Notes:
This field is only enabled if you select the Add 10-digit service numbers radio button.
If one or more service number blocks already exist for the specified range of service numbers, you must add the new service numbers to those blocks. In this scenario, you must select this check box.
Default = Checked.
Click Next.
If you selected Add a single, non-blocked, alphanumeric service number, the Non-Blocked Service Number Information window is displayed. See Adding Non-Blocked Service Numbers.
If you selected Add 10-digit service numbers and did not check the Add these service numbers to a block check box, the Non-Blocked Service Number Information window is displayed. See Adding Non-Blocked Service Numbers.
If you selected Add 10-digit service numbers and checked the Add these service numbers to a block check box:
If all service number blocks already exist for the specified range of service numbers, the Blocked Service Number Information window is displayed. See Adding Service Numbers to an Existing Service Number Block.
If one or more service number blocks do not exist for the specified range of service numbers, the Service Number Block Information window is displayed. See Adding Service Numbers to a New Service Number Block.
