Advance Pay Products are created in the Product Catalog.
Each Advance Pay product has one SKU in the Product Catalog, and contains one or more Price Points. Automation Rules can be included to handle such actions as suspending, hotlining and renewing the product or its related service.
The Advance Pay product can be designated as either concurrent or consecutive.
A consecutive product is one that either follows or precedes another product in time.
Examples: With a purchase of two 30-day unlimited call plans, they will run one after another.
If a plan is currently in effect and the customer purchases (or renews) a consecutive plan, the new plan is does not go into effect until the original plan expires.
A concurrent product is valid for the same time frame as another product.
Examples: With a purchase of a "30-day unlimited call plan," and a "30 messages for $2 plan" (good for 30 days), these two products will occupy the same time period.
If a plan is currently in effect and the customer purchases an additional concurrent plan, the new plan is effective for at least part of the time that the original plan is still in effect.
Advance Pay products are similar to Packages in that they have child items, such as pricing plans, additional products, contracts and so on.
An Advance Pay product should include a pricing plan to cover any overages and a zero duration contract to cover the customers' obligations.

Price Points
A price point is a collection of grant discounts and an associated charge that is part of an AdvancePay product.
The AdvancePay grant discount is basically a template that is used to set up eligible usage, distance, items, and so on.
Price points include:
Name of the Price Point displayed to the sales person when selling an AdvancePay Product. This should clearly indicate which "plan" a customer is buying. For example, naming a Price Point "50/1000/30" can indicate the charge ($50.00), the units (1000 minutes), and duration (30 days). Required.
Duration is the life span of the discounts purchased with the Price Point. Most companies use 30 days, but the duration can be any number of days. This option is available only if Unlimited has not been selected. Duration consists of
length of extension (in days)
maximum extendable days
Charge is the amount paid by customers if they choose the Price Point.
Current charge date range (allows for future dating price changes)
Date availability (controls when the AdvancePay product is available for sale)
Grant Discount assignment (connects the price point to any applicable discount)
You can also add one or more tax classes to a price point. The ability to assign multiple tax classes to price points in an Advance Pay product lets you tax the product with greater precision by more accurately reflecting its composition.
