Viewing Transaction History

Once you set up your customer’s credit card or e-check accounts and begin charging them, you can view the transaction history on a selected account. To view customer account transactions:

  1. Right-click on the account and select Account Transactions. This displays the Account Transactions for Account # data table.

    The Account Transactions for Account # data table contains the following information.

    ID

    System-generated ID that uniquely identifies the transaction.

    Status

    Status of the transaction.

    Description

    A description of the transaction (Monthly InCharge, Partial Payment, Deposit, or Final Payment).

    Type

    Type of transaction (debit or credit).

    Amount

    Dollar amount of the transaction.

    Process Date

    Date and time the transaction is processed.

    Approval Code

    6-digit authorization code received back from the credit card processor for an approved transaction.

    Approved Date

    Date and time the transaction is approved.

    Bureau Transaction

    Bureau Transaction ID. This is the number the credit service/bureau assigns to a transaction after it is submitted for processing.

    Bureau Description

    Description of the credit service/bureau assigned to the transaction.

    Last Modified

    The most recent date a transaction transpired.

    User ID

    The ID of the individual who made the modification.

When Automated Action on Declined E-Pay payments is implemented in your system, you can display the Decline Count by expanding the viewable columns on an account’s E-Pay Transactions view. From this view, right click on the view’s Status Bar (bottom of the grid). Then select Columns > All to show all columns. See Automated Action on Declined E-Pay Payments for details on this functionality.

Each transaction is associated with one of the following statuses.

Unprocessed

Transaction is part of a batch transaction that was generated by the billing system as part of a recurring batch of monthly payments.

Unprocessed One Time

Transaction is a real-time transaction that has not yet been sent out or is future-dated.

In process

Transaction is in the process of being sent.

Sent

Transaction has been sent to the processing company and IDI is waiting for a response.

Approved

Transaction succeeded.The IDI platform creates the payment or adjustment when an approved transaction is received.

Approved transactions can be voided in real-time (right-click the transaction and select Void).

Decline

Transaction failed.

A declined transaction can be Resubmitted (right-click the transaction and select Resubmit).

Void

Transaction was cancelled before it was processed. Only an Unprocessed transaction or Unprocessed One Time transaction can be voided.

Processing Error

Transaction encountered an error during the transaction export.

A transaction with this status can be Resubmitted (right-click the transaction and select Resubmit).

A transaction with this status can be voided (right-click the transaction and select Void).

Voided by system

System encountered an error that it could not rectify.

Declined - Void

Transaction has been declined and the IDI platform has automatically voided it. Another form of payment is needed.

Error - Void

Transaction failed and the IDI platform automatically voided it. Another form of payment is needed.
