User-defined usage types are used to categorize usage. Each usage type has specific related distance types. Usage types are directory assistance, 800 service, international 1+, Canadian 1+, 800 Canadian origination, international origination, and international to international.
The shortcut menu for the Usage Types table lets you add, edit and delete user-defined usage types. See Working With Data Management Tables.

Note
If you edit a user defined Usage Type, entering a description that already exists, you will be prompted to either save the new description or cancel the duplicate description. The purpose of this is to avoid two usage types having the same name.
