Samsung File Upload

A Samsung Manifest file is sent from Samsung when new handsets are shipped. This file can be used to add new devices to your system similar to the Device File Upload.

Uploading the File

Select Applications > BackOffice Management > Device Management > Devices > Samsung Manifest File Upload to display the upload dialog.

Note

Access to this dialog requires having the Devices > Upload Samsung Manifest File permission enabled in your permission profile.

To upload a file:

• Click the button to the right of the File Name field. This opens the Windows Explorer dialog.

• Find and select the Samsung Manifest file.

• If you want this dialog to automatically close on completing the upload, check the Close this dialog… check box.

• Click Upload when you’re ready to upload. Upload progress is shown on the Upload progress bar.

  Note

  Upload results and any errors are written to a log file on the application server under the Background Process for Device File Import. This information is available to IDI associates to troubleshoot issues with an upload as needed.
