Viewing Private Line Tax Information in Customer Care

Prev Next

With this release (FR 2794), users can view and edit private line tax information for a Feature via the Services and Features page. When viewing a Feature with a tax class of Private Line, a new Private Line Taxes option is available in the Details selector on the right side of the page. This option is not available for Features where the tax class is not set to Private Line.

When Private Line Taxes is selected, the private line tax allocations are listed for the Feature, including the tax jurisdiction, tax exemptions, and the allocation percent. Users with Edit Catalog Items permission can edit the private line tax allocations.

When editing, you can update or remove existing allocations, or add new allocations. The total allocations must add up to 100%; otherwise, you will not be allowed to save the changes.

When editing or adding a new allocation, a dialog opens to let you search for a tax jurisdiction. You can search for a jurisdiction by address, state/county/city, or country. The top portion of the dialog lets you perform searches and select the appropriate tax jurisdiction. The allocation and exemptions can be set in the lower section of the dialog. Clicking OK brings you back to the edit page. You need to click SAVE for the changes to the private line tax allocations to be saved.
