The ability to assign multiple tax classes to price points in an Advance Pay product lets you tax the product with greater precision by more accurately reflecting its composition.
Note:
This functionality is enabled by default, but can be turned off via the Tax Options window in Config Console. This setting is only available to authorized IDI associates and requires a service request to change.
Default Tax Class
Previous functionality supported assigning a single tax class for the Advance Pay product via the Tax Class drop down menu on the Taxes tab. This functionality is still supported and can be used to set the default tax class if other tax classes are not assigned to the product’s price points. This single tax class will be used to calculate taxes due for each of AdvancePay product’s price points.

The Add Tax Class dialog lets you add one tax class at a time. Select a tax class from the drop down menu and enter the allocation as a percentage of the total tax for the price point. You can enter the allocation with two decimal point precision (e.g. 50.55 as shown below). All tax classes added to the price point must add up to 100%.
