Basic Account Search
A basic Account search (default search option) lets you search for a specific Account Number, Customer Name, or Service Number. You can enter part of a customer name or account number, and have partial matches returned. For service number, the full number is required (exact match).

Enter the search criteria and click the
icon to perform the search.
Note
An is displayed if the field is left blank and you have not entered additional search options in the fields below. If a field is selected under More Options, the basic search field can be left blank.

Search by Functional Area
Rather than targeting a specific account, you can search on other items such as Adjustments, Follow-ups, Services, Contacts, Port Requests and so on.

More Options
The link gives you additional criteria by which to search, based on the selected functional area (Account, Adjustments, Follow-ups, Services, Contacts, etc...).
More Options

Select Clear Options to remove any existing search values selected.
Select Fewer Options to hide the additional search fields.
Fast Account Lookup
The Account Lookup option in the Functional Area drop down menu provides a faster alternative to the basic account search options.

Account Lookup is similar to the enhanced customer search in Desktop Client. When you choose Account Lookup, the right side of the OmniSearch page provides a drop down menu that lets you choose one of the following criteria:

exact match on account number, service number or full Social Security Number (SSN)
exact match on last 4 SSN digits
Note
partial search on customer name – This is essentially the same as the original Account search using customer name and is not any faster. It’s included here to provide the full functionality of the Desktop Client enhanced customer search.
As with the basic account search, any exact match opens the account directly. When searching by partial customer name where multiple matches are found, the Account Lookup search result provides the same information (columns) as the original account search.
Service Search Options
As with account, there are two options for service search.

The Service search option lets you search services by a partial starts or ends with entry. This provides a convenient option to the Service Lookup search when the full number is not available. Service Lookup is faster than the partial search method; however, it requires the full service number and an exact match.
When you choose Service, the right side of the OmniSearch page provides a drop down menu that lets you choose one of the following options:

Saving a Search
To save your search settings, click the
icon on the top right corner of the search bar.

Search menus indicate when using a saved search:

The search criteria you enter will be saved and displayed the next time you login or return to this page.
To clear a saved search, click the
icon again.
More Information
The more information icon (
) in the upper right (next to save search icon) provides more details for the specific omni search (functional area selected from the drop down menu). ()
