Enabling RunCenter in Your System
RunCenter functionality is deployed on a request basis. Apply to have the RunCenter deployed in your system through your IDI account manager. Once approved, submit a Service Request to make the RunCenter application visible in the desired IDI environment(s). Once the RunCenter is deployed and the correct Roles/Permissions applied to users, the RunCenter app will be available in the IDI Web Applications Apps tray.
Prerequisite Setup
Bill Cycles and Bill Periods need to be initially established by an authorized IDI billing specialist in the IDI Desktop Client RateBill Request Center prior to use within the RunCenter. IDI will also configure Bill Cycles with the billing steps as need to process bill runs per your requirements.
Permissions
There are two security roles for the RunCenter.
RunCenter Admin: Users with this role can access the RunCenter and perform certain functions according to their permissions:
Allow Log On: This provides view-only access RunCenter. For Admin users, Allow Log On is paired with other permissions described below to grant additional access.
Approve Invoices for Customer Viewing: This lets authorized users approve invoices so Customer Portal subscribers view them in the Portal.
Manage Bill Cycles: This lets authorized users specify which billing steps (Operations) to include in a Bill Cycle.
Allow Run Steps: This lets authorized users run billing steps for a Bill Period.
Approve Bill Periods: This lets authorized users approve Bill Periods.
RunCenter User: Users with this role are only granted Allow Log On permission and view-only access to the RunCenter.
