Editing a MIN Block

In order to modify an existing MIN block, the following permission must be enabled in your Permission Profile - Application > CostGuard Client > Inventory Management > MIN Inventory > MIN Blocks > Edit.

To edit a MIN block:

  1. From the Applications menu, select Inventory Management > MIN Inventories > MIN Blocks. This displays the MIN Blocks window.

  2. In the MIN Blocks window, either double-click the MIN block or right-click the MIN block and select Edit. This displays the Edit MIN Block window.  

    The Edit MIN Block window provides the following input fields:

    MBI

    6-digit MIN Block Identifier received from the MIN block pooling administrator. Identifies the first six digits (NPA-NXX) of the MINs in this block.

    Note

    This field cannot be modified.

    Total MINs

    Total number of MINs in this block that are available for assignment (inventory status is not Retired or Not Available).

    Note

    This field cannot be modified.

    Contaminated

    Identifies whether or not any of the MINs within this block are assigned to a customer (inventory status is Assigned):

    • Yes - block is contaminated. One or more MINs within this block is assigned to a customer.

    • No - block is not contaminated. None of the MINs within this block are assigned to a customer.

      Note

      This field cannot be modified.

    Utilization

    Number of Assigned MINs divided by the total number of MINs in this block.

    Notes:

    • If a MIN resides in multiple inventories, it is only counted once.

    • This field cannot be modified.

    Block Status

    Current status of this MIN block. To modify, select the desired status from the drop-down list.

    Implementation Date

    Current implementation date assigned to this MIN block. To modify, select the desired date.

    First Assigned Date

    Date the first MIN in this block was assigned to a customer.

    Note

    This field cannot be modified.

    Notes

    Additional information and/or comments regarding this MIN block. To modify, enter the desired information.

    Note

    From the Edit MIN Block window, you can add new MINs to one or more inventories by clicking the Actions button in the bottom left-hand corner of the Edit MIN Block window and selecting Add Additional MINs. The Add Additional MINs Wizard is displayed. See Add Additional MINs Wizard for more information.

  3. Make the desired changes.

  4. Click Save to modify the MIN block and close the Edit MIN Block window. The MIN Blocks window is updated to reflect the change you just made.
