The E-Rate Utilization Manually Created trigger can be paired with any one of several Workflow actions to automate a wide range of functions when utilization is manually logged such as create a follow-up, journal, or ticket; send an email, or create an adjustment for the utilization amount entered.

Considerations for Automating Adjustments:
It is recommended to create a unique adjustment type specifically for E-Rate, with the appropriate General Ledger coding on the adjustment type.
Set block posting to yes on the action. This supports review of the adjustment prior to posting on an account, for example if you use workflows for adjustment approvals over certain dollar amounts, or when an adjustment is created by certain users.
You can enter any meaningful text in the Description field; however, it is recommended to include the @[Description] string. This appends the Description from the utilization record (description entered when the utilization was manually created).
Caution: If a trigger creates an adjustment based on logged utilization, and that utilization is edited or deleted, the adjustment will still be on the account. If you delete utilization and then recreate it manually, there will be two adjustments on the account. Therefore, take care when using the trigger to create an adjustment. Once an adjustment has been created on logging utilization, subsequent editing or deleting of that utilization will require manual oversight in billing.
