Adding an Automation Rule

To create an Automation Rule:

1. Open an existing AdvancePay Product.

2. Click the Automation Rules tab. This displays existing Automation Rules.

3. Right-click in an empty area and select Add Rule. This opens the Add Automation Rule window.

   Add Rule is also available if the existing Automation Rule does not have an associated child decision or child Automation Rule..

   Evaluate Level The Evaluate Level determines whether the system checks the unit balance of the Service or Product.

   Discount Category The Discount Category is the one being evaluated by this rule.

   Rule Type An Automation Rule evaluates either Days or Units of the unit balance.

   Rule < Value The number of Days or Units must be less than the Rule < Value to pass the rule. For example, if the Rule < Value = 5 days for an Auto Renew, four days before the Price Point's expiration date, the Price Point is automatically renewed.

   Include Future Unit Balance Data? If checked, the rule will only pass if the number of units or days including future data is less than the configured value.

5. Add a child Decision or Automation Rule.

6. Save the AdvancePay Product.
