The Deposits view lets you view and allocate deposits. The upper pane lists posted transactions. The lower pane lists unposted transactions.
Posted Transaction Field Details
The following information is provided for posted transactions:
Transaction Status Icon - The far left column in each row indicates the transaction status:

A red “x” indicates a refused payment.
A yellow check mark indicates a payment or adjustment that has been blocked, disputed, or is on hold.
A green check mark indicates an invoice; a payment that has not been refused, blocked, disputed, or put on hold; or an adjustment that has not been blocked, disputed, or put on hold.
Posted Date - Date the transaction was posted.Note
For payments, date and time are shown in eastern time as they are processed on the server. For adjustments and other transactions, dates and times are converted from server (eastern) time where the events are processed and shown in IDI Desktop Client local time where they are being viewed. This is consistent with other date/time presentations in the Client.
Transaction Date - Date the transaction was completed.

Amount - The amount to be paid or adjusted.
New Balance - The adjusted balance after this transaction is taken into account.
Open Amount - The amount that has not yet been settled (not been paid).
Unposted Transaction Field Details
The following information is provided for unposted transactions:
Transaction Date - Date the transaction was completed.

Managing Deposits
To enter a deposit:
Right-click and select New.This displays the Add/Edit Deposit window.
Use the Deposit Info tab to enter the deposit information.
Request Date - Date customer was told a deposit is required.
Deposit Type - How the deposit was paid - cash, check, credit card, and so on. Deposit Types are defined in the Admin Console Data Management.
Principle Amount - Deposit amount paid.
Accrued Interest - Amount of interest earned.
Total Amount - Total amount - principle paid + accrued interest.
Interval (Months) - Total amount - principle paid + accrued interest.
Est Allocation Date - The date on which the deposit balance may be allocated based on the Received Date and the Interval.
Received Date - Date the deposit was received from the customer.
Interest Calculated - The most recent date that interest was calculated. System-generated.
Allocation Date - The date the first allocation was made, If any amount of the deposit has been allocated
Waive Type - The reason a deposit was not required. If used, the Waive Date must also be populated. These cannot be changed once the deposit has been received. Waive reasons are defined in the Admin Console Data Management.
Waive Date - The date the deposit was waived, if applicable. If used, the Deposit Waive Type must also be populated. These cannot be changed once the deposit has been received.
Description - Optional text field for entering pertinent information if applicable.
To allocate a deposit:
Select the deposit then right-click and select Edit.
From the Add/Edit Deposit window, click Actions and select Allocate Deposit. This displays the Add Deposit Allocation window.
Select the type of allocation from the drop-down list.
Enter the amount to be allocated.
Enter an optional description if desired.
Click Save. This adds the allocation to the Deposit Allocation tab and reduces the Total Amount by the amount of the allocation.
