With the appropriate permissions, you can terminate an E-Pay Account so new transactions are no longer possible.
Note
Once an account is terminated, it cannot be reactivated.
Previous transactions on the account and their associated transaction tokens are still stored so previous transactions can be managed.
Previous POS transactions against an E-Pay account can be refunded after the E-Pay account has been terminated because the token for the transaction still exists. If that refund fails and you want to issue a credit, the credit card information must be entered into POS again.
Terminated accounts are displayed as inactive (red X) on the list.
Terminated credit card accounts are not displayed on the list of available E-Pay accounts on the Credit Card Verification window.
To terminate an E-Pay account:
On the customer's E-Pay Accounts list, right-click the account and select Terminate E-Pay Account. This displays a confirmation message explaining that the termination is permanent.
Click Yes to terminate the account.
