Sub-Service Rules

Sub-services can be used to logically group services together. For example, an Internet T-1 Service may have an Access Pipe as a sub-service.

If you selected Allow Sub-Services check box on the New (or Edit) Service window (see Adding New Services, Adding New Services), you must specify which types of services are allowed as child services.

To specify child service types:

1. Right-click on the parent service and select Sub-Service Rules.

   

   The Sub-Service Rules for # data table is displayed.

   

   The Sub-Service Rules for # data table contains the following information.

   Child Service Type

   The service types that can be children of the associated parent service type.

   The Sub-Service Rules for # data table submenu includes the following options.

   Edit	Displays the Edit Sub-Service Rule dialog box. This dialog box contains the same information as the Add Sub-Service Rule dialog box. Available only if you right-click on a populated row.
   Delete	Displays a message box asking for confirmation to delete the Child Sub-Service. Available only if you right-click on a populated row.
   New	Displays the Add Sub-Service Rule dialog box.

   

2. Select the appropriate Child Service Type from the drop-down list and select Save. The service type is added to the Sub-Service Rules for # data table.
