To edit a journal entry:
Perform a customer search and open the Customer window for a specific customer account. See Accessing Customer Management Records.
Click the Journals tab.
Right-click on any row and select Edit.
This displays the Edit Journal window.
Make any changes as required as described below:
ID
System-defined ID assigned to this journal entry.
Reference To
If this journal entry was created at the customer level, this field contains the customer account number assigned to that customer.
If this journal entry was assigned to a trouble ticket, this field contains that trouble ticket's ID number.
Journal Type
Journal type assigned to this journal entry.
Journal Status
Journal status assigned to this journal entry.
Internal
If checked, this journal entry is only displayed internally.
Display on Customer Summary Tab
If checked, this journal entry is displayed on the Customer Management Summary tab.
Description
Description entered for this journal entry (maximum of 4000 characters). The first few words will appear on the Journals tab.
Notes: This field may or may not be editable, depending upon your permission settings. To edit this field, both Edit and Edit Description must be enabled in your Permission Profile.
To start a new line, after entering text, hold down the Ctrl + Enter keys. If you hit the Enter key alone it will automatically close the window.
Entered By
User ID assigned to the user that originally created this journal entry, followed by the date and time the journal entry was created.
Last Modified By
User ID assigned to the user that last modified this journal entry, followed by the date and time of the last modification.
Click Save. This closes the Edit Journal window and updates the Journals tab with the changes you made.
