Bounced messages are outgoing messages sent from the IDI platform that couldn’t be delivered (perhaps due to bad data in the IDI platform or misconfiguration on the recipient's email system). Bounced messages are now returned to the Communications web application and are visible as part of the communication thread.

Managing Bounced Messages
The Bounced messages grid lets users see and investigate the offending email addresses, and also supports cleanup/deletion of old/uninteresting/resolved bounced email addresses.
The grid is available via CONFIGURE > Bounces.

The IDI platform considers the email addresses of bounced messages to be known bad recipients and suppresses additional emails to these addresses. Thus only one entry will appear in the grid per unique email address.
You can filter the list by setting a date range or entering a string to match in Email field, and then clicking SEARCH. The email search is a starts with search. It looks for addresses that start with the characters you enter. A minimum of three characters are required. You can use % as a wild card. For example, %gmail.com returns addresses that end with gmail.com, and %smith% returns addresses that contain smith. Following a search you can restore the entire list by clearing all search fields and clicking SEARCH again.
Once you have the search results you need, you can delete all messages listed in the grid (DELETE ALL), or specific messages you select by checking the associated check boxes (DELETE SELECTED).
