Editing an Inventoried MIN

In order to modify an inventoried MIN, Application > CostGuard Client > Inventory Management > MIN Inventory > MINs > Edit must be enabled in your Permission Profile.

You can access the Edit Inventoried MIN function from the following locations within the Client:

  • MIN Search Results window

    Either double-click the desired MIN or right-click the desired MIN and select Edit.

  • New Service window (displayed when assigning inventoried wireless services to a customer via the New Customer Wizard or Add Service(s) & Feature(s) Wizard.)

    Once you have an Service Number assigned, click the Actions button and select Edit Inventoried MIN.

  • Service Number window (displayed when modifying an inventoried wireless service via the New Customer Wizard or Add Service(s) & Feature(s) Wizard)

    Click the Actions button and select Edit Inventoried MIN.

    To edit an inventoried MIN:

  1. Use one of the methods described above to display the Edit Inventoried MIN window.

    EditInventoriedMIN

    The Edit Inventoried Service Number window provides the following input fields:

    MIN

    10-digit MIN (Mobile Identity Number) being modified.

    Note:

    This field cannot be modified.

    Inventory

    Name of the inventory to which this MIN is assigned.

    Note:

    This field cannot be modified.

    Block Status

    Current status of the MIN block to which this MIN is assigned.

    Note

    This field cannot be modified.

    Inventory Status

    Current inventory status of this MIN. To modify, select the desired inventory status from the drop-down list.

    Note

    This field can only be modified if the inventory status is Available, Not Available, or Retired. This field cannot be modified for all other inventory statuses.

    Status Change Date

    Date and time this MIN's inventory status changed to the current status.

    Note

    This field cannot be modified.

    Reservation / Aging Interval

    This field is blank, unless this MIN's inventory status is Aging or Reserved:

    • Aging - number of days this MIN must age before it can be reassigned (inventory status changed to Available).

    • Reserved - number of days this MIN can be reserved before it is made available for assignment (inventory status changed to Available).

      Calculation:

      Reservation/Aging Interval = Available Date - Status Change Date. The result is reported in days.

      Note

      This field cannot be modified.

    Available Date

    Date this MIN is available for assignment:

    • If the inventory status is Reserved or Aging, this field is required and can be modified. To modify, select the desired date from the drop-down list.

    • If the inventory status is Not Available, this field is optional and can be modified. To modify, select the desired date from the drop-down list.

    • For all other inventory statuses, this field cannot be modified.

      Note

      The Available Date must occur on or after the Status Change Date.

    Inventory Groups

    Lists the inventory groups to which this MIN is assigned.

    Note

    You can change the inventory group assignments by right-clicking anywhere within the Inventory Groups pane and selecting Select Groups. The Select Inventory Groups window is displayed. See Selecting an Inventory Group for more information.

    Notes

    Additional information and/or comments regarding this MIN.

  1. Make the desired changes and click Save to modify the MIN. The Edit Inventoried MIN window is closed.

    Note

    If you requested this function from the MIN Search Results window, the MIN Search Results window is updated to reflect the change you just made.

    From the Edit Inventoried MIN window, you can perform the following functions:

    Note

    View the inventory history for this MIN by clicking the Actions button and selecting View History (see Viewing MIN Inventory History).

    • If the MIN is assigned to a customer, you can view the account information for that customer by clicking the Actions button and selecting View Customer (see Viewing MIN Customers).

    • If the MIN is reserved, you can view the reservation details by clicking the Actions button and selecting View Reservation. The information for this reservation is displayed in the Reservations Search Results window (see Searching Reservations for additional information).
