Every discount must be associated with a Discount Category. This is accomplished using the Discount Category Configuration window.

Select the Discount Category you want to configure from the Select Category list.
The Assigned Discounts portion of the window lists all the discounts (and their associated SKUs) currently associated with the selected discount category. The Unassigned Discounts area lists all discounts (and their associated SKUs) not associated with a discount category. Only discounts with the same unit type can be assigned to the same discount category.
Move discounts to be assigned to the category from the Unassigned Discounts list using the left arrow button.
Move discounts that should not be assigned to the discount category from the Assigned Discounts list using the right arrow button.
Select another Discount Category to configure.
Once all your changes have been made, click Save.
Note
If you click Cancel, none of the changes you made during the session are saved.
Business rules:
Discounts with different unit types, such as minutes, data, and occurrences, cannot be assigned to the same Discount Category.
A Discount Category cannot be deleted if discounts are assigned to it.
