Bulk Address Validation - Filter

Prev Next

The Bulk Address Validation - Filter page lets you further limit the number of addresses to be validated (or re-validated, depending on your choices made on the Validation Type page).

UG template for Help

By default, only contact addresses will be validated. Check the Include Service Addresses option to validate service addresses as well.

Note

This option is greyed out if CoreLogic is the only Required Validation Type selected and enhanced address validation is not enabled for service addresses. The option is always available when USPS is selected as a required validation type.

Filters for Linked Service Addresses and Service Types are available to help reduce costs. The service type filter only applies to services that are linked to service addresses.

These filters are greyed out unless the Included Service Addresses check box is enabled.

Other filters are described below:

  • Billing Cycle - You can limit the addresses to be validated by checking one or more Billing Cycles. If you do not select a Billing Cycle, addresses associated with all the Billing Cycles are validated based on the other filters you select.

  • Market - A value that, when applied to an account, can represent a geographical region (such as state) or a brand (such as carrier vs agent) or a combination of both of these.

  • Address Type - The Address Types listed are the contact types available to limit the addresses to be validated. Check one or more Address Types. If you do not select any Address Types, addresses associated with all the Address Types are validated based on the other filters you select.

You can add Services Addresses to the addresses to be validated by checking Include Service Addresses. Services Addresses are validated using MSAG validation. If your system is not configured to use Service Addresses, this check box does not have any impact.

    See MSAG Processing.

  • Account Status - The Account Status is the current disposition of the customer account, such as Active, Disconnected, or Suspended. You can limit the addresses to be validated by checking one or more Account Statuses. If you do not select an Account Status, addresses associated with all the Account Statuses are validated based on the other filters you select.

  • State - You can limit the addresses to be validated by checking one or more States. If you do not select a State, addresses associated with all the States are validated based on the other filters you select.

You can further limit the validation of one and only one state by selecting one state and checking Include County Selection. Click here for more on this.

  • Disconnected Customers and Services - Disconnected Customers and Services often remain Billing Active. This means that if you don't select this status using the Account Status list, then any address associated with a disconnected customer or service will be validated. This date option allows you to select a date before which any address associated with a disconnected customer or service will not be validated.

Check the Include customers and services that have been disconnect after check box and enter the appropriate date.

Once you have made your selection, click Next. This opens the Confirmation page.
