To add or edit a Scheduling Service:
From the Scheduling Services form, right-click a row and click New to add as service or Edit to change a service. This opens the Add/Edit Service form on the Settings tab.

Name
The name you assign to the service.
Access Key
Required to manage the service and its associated jobs
This key must match the one defined on the Scheduling Service Configuration window. The service looks for Scheduling Service items that have a machine name and access key that match its configuration.
The default access key can be changed.
Once a Scheduling Service starts, changes to this field are ignored until the next time the service is started.
Machine Name
Name of the machine where the scheduling service exists.
Poll Frequency (secs.)
How often (in seconds) that the service polls CostGuard for configuration changes. Defaults to 60 seconds. The service does not poll CostGuard any more often than every 12 seconds.
Last Poll Date
This field is blank.
Max Concurrent Jobs
Specifies the number of jobs that can be run concurrently for this service.
Defaults to 5. This service does not allow more than 20 jobs to run concurrently.
Once a Scheduling Service starts, changes to this field are ignored until the next time the service is started.
Create Date
This field is blank. When you click Save, the system populates this field with the current date and time.
Enabled
Defaults to Enabled (checked box). Specifies whether the service is enabled or not.
Status
This field is blank.
Description
(optional)Description of the service.
You can make the following changes:
Enter a Name, Machine Name and Description.
Change the Poll Frequency (secs.) and Max. Concurrent Jobs.
Uncheck the Enabled check box.
Click the Parameters tab to override default parameters. This displays the Parameters tab.

The Parameters tab on both the Edit Service and Edit Job forms contain configurable parameters. Configurable parameters are defined and installed via your company's custom kit. Once these parameters have been installed, subsequent kit installations do not update the parameters. Please contact IDI to customize the parameters for installation.
The Parameters lists all configurable parameters for the associated Scheduling Service or Job.
Environment
Name of the environment being modified. This drop-down includes the current environment you are logged into and all environments having overrides. You can also use this field to enter an environment, however, this environment is only saved if an override is specified.
icon
If a lock icon is displayed, the parameter cannot be modified from this form. These are maintained by IDI, for example, the URL for the Provisioning Web Service.
If no lock is displayed, you can change the parameter.
Name
Name of the parameter.
Default
Value to be used in all environments without an override.
Notes:
Since there is only one Production environment, IDI recommends that test values be entered for the defaults and overrides set for the Production environment.
Although you can enter override values for environments other than the one you are logged into, the values are not set until a refresh is performed on those environment. Therefore, IDI recommends configuring overrides for the environment you are logged into.
Override
Values to be used instead of the default when the job is run for the associated environment.
Right-click the parameter you want to change and select one of the following:
Set Default: Lets you change the default value for the parameter. This value is used for all environments not having an override specifically set.
Set Override: Lets you set the override value for the environment selected in the Environment drop-down.
Clear Override: Removes the override value for the environment so it uses the default value.
