Adding a Product Family

To add a Product Family:

1. From the Product Families window, right-click and select New.

   The Add Family window is displayed.

2. Add a Product Family by using these fields:

   Family Name	Required field. Use a name that will be easily recognizable.
   Max Children	Enter the maximum number of child instances that you want to allow per parent in a product family. The number of parents multiplied by the number of children determines the maximum number of children that you can have. (If left blank, no maximum is enforced.)
   Parents	Any selected parent products are displayed here.
   Children	Any selected children products are displayed here.
   Search Fields	Use these fields to search for any existing products in the Product Catalog that you want to add to the Parents and/or Children fields.

• Use the right and left arrows to move products between Parent and Children fields.

• Right-click a Parent or Child product to delete it.

3. Click Save to keep your changes.

   Notes:

   • Changes to product family configurations take effect immediately and are enforced on all customer accounts.

   • An error message is displayed if the number of children exceeds the number of parents multiplied by the number of Max Children.
