Click + Add Field to display a list of fields from which to choose. This list is filtered to only display eligible fields without an existing ruleset, since only one can be created per field.

Once the field is selected you may choose to continue with the configuration by clicking the green check or cancel (grey X).

On choosing to continue, you’ll see the rules that you may choose to configure. This may include Require, Restrict and/or Default, depending on the selected field. You may configure any combination of available rules.
Click + next to a rule to begin rule configuration. This displays the set of controls needed to configure the rule. Configured rules and rules under configuration are marked in green. Clicking the + on a green rule removes the configuration. Save and cancel buttons are located at the far right.

Depending on the field, rules can be based on Account Type, Account Status and/or User Group. Those drop down menus support selecting multiple items. The number of items selected is indicated on the drop down.

When multiple items are selected, the In condition ORs the selected items (e.g. Residential OR Residential in Dispute). The Not In condition ANDs the selected items (e.g. Residential AND Residential in Dispute).
When you’re ready to save the rule(s), click the orange Save button at the far right. Or you can cancel without saving if needed (grey X).

Adding a Require Rule
This rule is available for fields that are not required as standard. To make a field required, click the associated +, then specify the Account Type(s) for which this field is required. The following options are available:
The default is In Any (make the field required for all Account Types).
To make the field required for specific Account Types, select In or Not In and then select one or more Account Types.

Adding a Default Rule
To establish a default for the field, click the associated +, then click Add Default Rule. This displays a field to specify the default value for certain Account Types (as described above). You can add as many default rules as needed. If overlapping rules are created for default values, the system will use the first configured rule that it finds a match for. Click the associated red X to remove a default rule.

Adding a Restrict Rule
This limits the conditions under which a field can be configured. You can limit based on Account Type, Account Status, and/or User Group. You can specify any combination of Account Types, Account Statuses and IDI platform User Groups as part of the rule. Only one rule can be configured, and all three conditions in the rule must be met for the field to be restricted.

To make a field restricted in all cases, use In Any for all three properties.
To make a field restricted by just one property, use In Any for the other two properties.
For example, to restrict a field when the Account Status is Closed By Agency, set the rule as:
