A Store Type is a type of retail distribution channel such as a retail (brick and mortar) store, kiosk, or warehouse. When you add a new store, you specify the store type. When you set up register policies, those settings can be applied on a Store Type basis.
Store Types are set up via POS Back Office > Settings > Store Types. This displays the Store Types form. The right-click menu lets you filter the list, edit or delete a selected Store Type or Add a new Store Type.
To add a Store Type, right-click in the grid and select New
OR
To edit a Store Type, double-click the row.
Change or add a Name for the Store Type.
Enter or change the Description if you like (optional)
Click Save to keep your changes.
To delete a Store Type, right-click the Store Type you want to remove and select Delete.
