From the Retail Product General Ledger tab you can view the system-provided GL subcategories for the product type.
You can set a retail product to either inherit GL subcategory properties or override them.
To edit a retail product's assigned GL account:
From the Retail Product's General Ledger Tab, click the Edit button.
This displays the Edit GL Assigned Accounts window.
For any subcategory whose properties you want to change, click the down arrow in the Override column of the subcategory's row and select either Inherit or Override.
Then click the down arrow in the GL Account column to select a different category or None.
Click Save to keep your changes.
