When you select Tender to accept payment from the customer the balance due is displayed in red.

  1. Select a Tender Type and enter the amount in the Tender Amount field.

    Customers can pay using any combination of tender types. If the customer is combining tender types, select each tender type and enter the amount.

    Note:

    All tender types other than Cash require additional information.

    • Store Credit activates if the customer has previously returned a product for store credit.

      Store Credit

      Store Credit is when you have a balance in the store to use up.

    • AR activates if this is a non-residential customer and has been approved for credit.

      Accounts Receivable (AR) is a form of payment on an account.

    • BTA Verification pop up window. If this is displayed, you can enter a reference number (for example a purchase order number) that might be configured by your company to be added to the invoice. This field can include up to 50 characters and is always optional, but has to be closed before continuing with the tendering.

    • Reward Cash opens the Reward Cash Details where you can use the customer's Reward Points as tender.

      Your subscribers can use Reward Points as tender for a POS purchase or to tender a bill payment at a POS location.

      In order to use Reward Points as tender, a Reward Cash tender type must be one of the store's accepted Tender Types set up in Register Policies. (See Working with Register Policies - Tender Tab.)

      When tendering a POS transaction, select the Reward Cash tender type. TenderWithRewardCash

      This opens the Reward Cash Details window displaying the available Reward Points and the converted value based on the Conversion Factor set up in Product Catalog.

      Click OK to use the Reward Points' converted value as tender.

      The amount is deducted from the Total Due.

  2. Click Finalize

    OR

  3. Click Sign Agreement if you have a contract that has been assigned to the order.

    Note:

    The Finalize button is disabled if a contract has been assigned. The customer must sign the agreement or you must check the skip sign agreement check box to proceed with the transaction and enable the Finalize button.

    When the tender balance is the same as or greater than the Total Due, you are prompted to Finalize the Transaction.

    To return change to the customer for a cash sale, this displays the amount due in the Tender Change window.

    Make the cash refund and click Enter.

  4. Click Yes to finalize the transaction.
