Storing and Displaying a POS Receipt Signature

Receipts that are POS generated in an 8.5" x 11" format (Network Receipts) can be stored in the IDI platform when an IDI-certified signature capture device is used.

To store Network Receipts:

  1. Access the printing configuration window for the customer's location: Applications > POS Back Office > Locations > [location name] > Printing.

  2. Select the radio button Override the Printing Options, then select a Store Credit Card Receipts option.

    Receipts for the following transactions can be stored.

    • Quick Sale

    • Make Sale (including Returns and Exchanges)

    • Bulk Retail Sale

    • Tendered Bill Payment

    • Sales Request

    • Return Request

      Note

      This functionality can be reversed at any time by clearing this check box in the appropriate location configuration window.

To Display and Print Network Receipts:

Access one of these 3 paths to view and/or print a specific POS sales transaction.

POS Front Office Transaction Search

  1. Perform a POS Front Office Transaction Search, then:

    • Right-click the transaction and select View Transaction to display the Transaction Detail window. Click the View Network Receipt button to view the receipt in a new window, or click the Print Receipt button to print it.

      OR

    • Right-click the transaction and select Print Receipt to print the receipt without viewing it first.

POS Back Office Transaction Search

  1. Perform a POS Back Office Transaction Search; then:

    • Right-click the transaction and select View Transaction to display the Transaction Detail window. Click the View Network Receipt button to view the receipt in a new window, or click the Print Receipt button to print it.

      OR

    • Right-click the transaction and select Print Receipt to print the receipt without viewing it first.

Customer's Orders tab

  1. From a customer window, click the Orders tab.

    • Right-click a POS Sales transaction and select View > Network Receipt to open the receipt in a new window.

      OR

    • Right-click a POS Sales transaction and select Print Receipt to print the receipt without viewing it first.
