The State Summary provides highlights of the state's taxes. This may include some of the rules and regulations regarding what local governments can tax. It may also include general state tax information.
To access the State Summary:
Right-click the desired state and select View State Details. (This option opens a new form with the state summary information.)
OR
Select a state and click the Summary tab.
Both the Tax State Details and the Summary tab contain the following information:
State Abbreviation
The abbreviation of the state selected from the States column.
State Name
The name of the state chosen in the All States column.
Web Page
The location of state tax information on the World Wide Web.
Highlights
A free flow text area for information about the state taxes.
