Set up one or more rate plans using the Orig Area rating method. See Adding/Editing Rates to create a new rate plan.
See Adding/Editing Rate Details to add the rate details. To set up rate details specifically using the Orig Area rating method:
Open the Rate Plan (Applications > Product Management > Rates, right-click the Rate Plan name and select View Rate Details).
Right-click in the table and select New. The Rate Details window is displayed.
Select the appropriate Distance Type from the drop-down.
Select the Orig Area rating method.
Enter valid originating Calling Areas. Calling areas as set up in the Calling Areas table. You can enter multiple Orig Areas separated by commas. Do not use spaces. This field is not case-sensitive. Example: Rochester,Buffalo,cert13.

Continue setting up the rate details as described in Adding/Editing Rate Details, using as many rate details using Calling Areas as needed.
Click Save.
