To set restocking properties for a retail product:
From the Applications menu, select Product Management > Product Catalog.
For an existing product, double-click the product whose restocking information you want to change.

For a new product, right-click on the right side of the Product Catalog window and select New Retail Product.
Click the Restock Tab to display restocking information.

Select the appropriate restocking options:
Inherit Parent's Restocking
To set a retail product's restocking values to inherit parent's restocking:
Access the Restock Tab of the Retail Products window.
Right-click the Location row that you want to inherit the parent's restocking values.
From the shortcut menu, click Inherit Restocking from '[Name]'
Notice that the Max Quantity
Max Quantity
The maximum on-hand quantity. By default, if an item is to be reordered, the amount reordered will be the Max Quantity minus the Quantity on hand.
and
Min Quantity
The minimum on-hand quantity. By default, if the on-hand count is less than Min Quantity plus the Buffer Quantity, the item will be reordered.
values are gone and the Location name is now grayed out.
Do not use restocking
To set a retail product's restocking value to Do Not Use Restocking:
Right-click the Location row that you want to set to Do not use restocking.
From the shortcut menu, click Do not use restocking.
Notice that the Max Quantity and Min Quantity values are gone, but the Location name is still displayed in black.
Max Quantity

The minimum on-hand quantity. By default, if the on-hand count is less than Min Quantity plus the Buffer Quantity, the item will be reordered.
Override Values
To override restocking values for a retail product:
Right-click the Location row that you want to set to override.
From the shortcut menu, click Edit to display the Edit Restock window.

Click the Override values radio button.
Enter a value for
Max Quantity

Enter a value for
Buffer.
Buffer is the number of units (per inventory status) set as the "inventory forecast number" added to the Min Quantity to provide an adequate stocking level to serve needs while the reorder process takes place.
Click Save to keep your changes.
Notice that the row on the Restock tab now displays in black with the Max Quantity, Min Quantity, and Buffer Quantity shown.
Click Save.
