Carriers may want to restrict certain sales associates from having the ability mark a customer’s credit card as recurring when tendering a sale. Without any regulation, users may unknowingly choose to create a recurring E-Pay account without the subscriber’s knowledge, which may result in a poor customer experience.
This may be set up via a user's permission profile using the Block Recurring Epay Setup permission. (under Sales and Returns & Sales Requests).

The permissions default to disabled (red) for all permission profiles. This is to ensure users’ existing permission profiles are not impacted on installing new software.
When enabled:
For Tempus gateway - When tendering to a credit card and after the Tempus-specific tendering steps, the system will not display the prompt: Use Card for Recurring Billing?, and will continue as if the user had selected No.
When Tempus is not the payment gateway for a POS Location. In the Credit Card Verification window the available options for the Create E-Pay Account field will not include Recurring.
