Adding/Editing a Payment Plan
To add a payment plan to a customer account, the account must be in collections and assigned to a collections person/group.
Note:
If a payment plan includes more than one payment, each payment must be entered as a separate payment plan. For example, if a customer agrees to pay off their overdue balance in 3 equal monthly payments, you must add 3 payment plans to the account (one for each payment).
To add or edit a payment plan, right-click anywhere within the Payment Plans tab and select New/Edit, and enter the required information as described below:
Amount | Amount of the payment, in dollars and cents. |
Promise to Pay Date | Select/enter the date the payment is due. |
Follow-Up Date | Select/enter the date upon which the collections person/group assigned to this account needs to follow-up on this payment. |
Description | Additional information regarding this payment plan.
