Maximum Usage Guarantee with Fixed Fee (Example)

In this contract the customer agrees to use no more than $100 in long distance usage each month. If the customer has multiple services, long distance usage by each of the services is counted toward the maximum usage allowed by the contract. If more than $100 is used, a penalty of $10 is charged.

1. Create a new contract with a Maximum Usage Guarantee contract term.

2. Enter a value of 100.

3. Select a Unit of Currency.

   

4. Include Long Distance in the Contract Term Details (exclude all Product Types, i.e., None).

   

5. Add a Fixed Fee Contract Penalty of 10.

   

   If this contract is assigned at the customer level, all the long distance usage of each of the customer's services are counted toward the maximum allowed usage in the terms of the contract. If it is assigned to a particular service, only the long distance usage of that service is counted toward the maximum allow usage.
