Managing Favorite Numbers

Once a discount with an associative type of Selective or Favorite Exact Dialed Digits has been assigned, you must add the favorite numbers to be associated with it. You can also modify the customer's list of favorite numbers.

To view, add, or edit favorite numbers for a subscriber, you must display the list current list of favorite numbers:

From the Services tab, right-click the service number and select View Favorite Numbers. This displays the Favorite Numbers for the selected service.
From this window you can:
add new favorite numbers - To add a favorite number to a service:
On the Favorite Numbers list, right-click and select New. This displays the Add Favorite Number window. Enter the required information and click Save.
Note
A service number sharing a favorite number discount cannot be included in the Favorite Numbers list.
activate or deactivate favorite numbers - Favorite Numbers can be added to a service's list of phone numbers for the service number without being active. When the subscriber decides which of these phone numbers to use as their Favorite Numbers, you can activate the number. When the subscriber no longer wants a phone number to be a favorite, you can deactivate it. The information about each activation and deactivation of a phone number is kept as a history for the service number.
To activate favorite numbers:
- Select the appropriate discount from the View Discount list.
- Check the phone numbers that are to be active on the date specified in the "View As Of" field.
- Click Apply to save the settings and continue managing favorite numbers for the service number.

- Click Save to save the settings and close the Favorite Numbers list.
To deactivate favorite numbers:
- Select the appropriate discount from the View Discount list.
- Right-click the phone number and select Deactivate. This sets the End Date to the date specified in the "View As Of" field and displays the phone number as inactive (if is checked).
  Show Inactive Favorite Numbers
  Checking Show Inactive Favorite Numbers displays numbers whose end date has passed or start date has not arrived.
- Click Apply to save the settings and continue managing favorite numbers for the service number.
OR
- Click Save to settings and close the Favorite Numbers list.

copy a favorite number - If you are adding several favorite numbers that are similar, you can save time by copying an existing number and making changes. To copy a favorite number:

Right-click the Favorite Number you want to copy and select Copy. This opens the pre-populated Add Favorite Number window.
Make changes including the phone number.
Click Save.

A service number sharing a favorite number discount cannot be included in the Favorite Numbers list.
view the history of all activity performed on the customer's favorite numbers - The Favorite Number History window lists all favorite numbers associated with the service number. To view the Favorite Number History window:
From the Favorite Numbers window, click View History. This displays the Favorite Number History window.

Select your desired filter options.

You can limit the number of items displayed using the following Filter Options:

Phone Number

You can limit the history displayed by selecting one of the favorite numbers from the Phone Number list. Selecting All Numbers displays all favorite numbers ever associated with the account.

Discount

You can limit the history displayed by selecting one of the favorite number discounts from the Discount list. Selecting All Discounts displays all favorite numbers ever associated with the account.

Start Date

You can limit the history displayed based on the date of a favorite number became active.

To see favorite numbers that became active:	Do this:
On one particular date	In From, select the desired date In To, select the desired date
During a range of start dates	In From, select the day *before* the desired date range In To, select the last day of desired date range
Prior to a specific date	Leave From unchecked In To, select the desired date
After a specific date	In From select the day *before* the desired date Leave To unchecked

Leave both From and To unchecked to see favorite numbers without regard to the date the numbers became active.

End Date

You can limit the history displayed based on the date of a favorite number became inactive.

To see favorite numbers that became inactive:	Do this:
On one particular date	In From, select the desired date In To, select the same date
During a range of end dates	In From, select the day *before* the desired date range In To, select the last day of desired date range
Prior to a specific date	Leave From unchecked In To, select the desired date
After a specific date	In From select the desired date Leave To unchecked

Change Date

You can limit the history displayed based on the date a change was made to a favorite number. A change is any activity involving the favorite number such a, adding a number to the list, changing the number to active or inactive, and changing information in the Name / Description or Notes fields.

To see favorite numbers that changed:	Do this:
On one particular date	In From, select the desired date In To, select the same date
During a range of end dates	In From, select the day *before* the desired date range In To, select the last day of desired date range
Prior to a specific date	Leave From unchecked In To, select the desired date
After a specific date	In From select the desired date Leave To unchecked

Clear

The Clear button resets all the Filter Options.

Filter

The Filter button applies the selected Filter Options to refine the list.

Favorite Number History

Phone Number

The Phone Number is the favorite number. Depending on the discount, this number may belong to a different customer account or the customer of a different carrier.

Start Date

The Start Date is the day the favorite number became active for the associated discount.

End Date

The End Date is the day the favorite number was deactivated.

Name / Description

The Name / Description is the customer-designated identifier of the favorite number.

UserID

The User ID is the IDI platform User Name of person who made the latest change.

Change Date

The Change Date is the date the activity took place on the associated Phone Number.

Discounts

Discount is the name of the favorite number discount associated with the change.

Notes

The Notes field can be used for additional information about the favorite number.

Click Filter. The Favorite Number History window displays only those phone numbers matching your criteria.
