If you purchase a file from a company that maintains the pzd.ful file, you can import the file into the IDI platform to update the ZIP codes.
From the Application menu, select Tax Management > Zip code Maintenance. This displays the ZIP Code Maintenance dialog.
Click Browse to locate the file or enter the path and name of the file.
If you have entered any updates manually that you want retain, click Save User Zip Codes.
At the confirmation dialog, Click Yes to save the manually entered ZIP codes or No to cancel the operation.
If you click Yes, the records are saved and a message box is displayed noting the number of ZIP codes saved.
Click OK. Click the Import From File button to import the Professional Computer Consulting file. This displays a confirmation dialog.
Click Yes to import the file or No to cancel the operation.
If you click Yes, the file is imported and a confirmation box is displayed noting the number of records imported from the file.
Click OK. Click Merge User Zip codes to integrate the records saved in step 4. A message box is displayed.
Click Yes to merge the ZIP codes or No to cancel the operation.
If you click Yes, the ZIP code information entered manually and from the file are entered into the database and a message box is displayed.
Click OK.
Click the Build State-County Summary button to update the county table, adding county information if necessary. A confirmation dialog is displayed.
Click OK.
Click Close.
