Once an Equipment Import Group has been configured, you can create a comma-delimited text file based on that information. using the file name format specified for the Equipment Import Group. (See Configuring Equipment Import Settings.)
Notes:
The file must be a comma-delimited text file.
The equipment Available date defaults to the date the file is processed.
If the value in a field contains a comma, enclose that field in quotation marks.
The text file can contain the following information:
Equipment Type
(required)Name of the type of equipment being imported. This type must exist in the Equipment Types table.
Equipment Name
(required)Name of the equipment being imported.
Wire Center
(required)Name of the Wire Center associated with the equipment being imported. This wire center must exist in the Wire Centers table.
Status
(optional)Status of the equipment after it has been imported.
Data Source
(optional)Name of the Data Source associated with the equipment being imported. This data source must exist in the Equipment Data Sources table.
Available Date
(optional)Date the equipment status is set to Available.
Default = current date
Note:
Use Available Date only if Status is not available.
Reference Number
(optional)Identifying number received from another system that is associated with the equipment being imported.
Maximum alpha-numeric characters = 50
CLLI
Common Language Location Identifier specifying the Wire Center.
