The New/Edit Package (Taxes tab) window provides the following input fields:
Subject to E911 | Selected: The E911 charges will be applied (to all products assigned to services having E911 checked) using the information in the tax database. Cleared: The E911 charges will not be applied using the information in the tax database.

Distance Type | Select the appropriate distance type from the drop-down list. Default is Intrastate. This field only applies to Toll tax and recurring charges. If you change this for Intrastate or Interstate, you need to define 2 separate products. | ||||||||
Tax at Component Level | Selected: Taxes are based on the individual components of the package. The components inside the package need to carry their own charge amounts to determine the ratio of the charge that shall be used in the tax basis for the tax classes assigned to the components. This field is only available when One Price Package is enabled. Cleared: Taxes are based on the package. | ||||||||
Federal Excise Exempt | Selected: The entire package is exempt from federal excise tax. This includes all of the packages components. This field is only available if Tax at Component Level is selected. Cleared: The federal excise tax is levied according to each component. | ||||||||
