IP Origination Authorization

PURPOSE

The most secure protection that can be put in place for a customer is to limit access over the Internet to certain IP addresses that the customer explicitly authorizes.

Access to CostGuard servers should be limited to a single origination IP address or a range of addresses from which the customer’s traffic will originate. When this information is provided to IDI Billing Solutions all other IP addresses and hosts on the Internet will be blocked from accessing the server. Each protocol in use on the CostGuard server (i.e. https, FTP) can have its own IP origination list. All users/locations must register their IP address(es) to gain access to CostGuard or FTP.IDIBILL.COM.

REMOTE USERS

Customers with remote users utilizing dynamic IP addresses will need to have these users connect first to the main office utilizing whatever remote access solution that is already in place (i.e. VPN, Citrix, or Terminal Services). Once the user has successfully been authenticated, they should be allowed to make a client connection to the CostGuard server using the main office Internet connection with a static IP address.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Standard IP Authorization requests are completed by IDI Billing Solutions within three (3) business days of the submitted request. Please return completed forms to IDI Billing Solutions.
